Do you have something coming your way? If so, thank you so much for patiently waiting.
Here’s a brief recap:
Mr. Waterstone, center with the vest, played golf and then caddied for the beginning day of The Greenbrier Classic Pro-Am. (The actual golf tournament will be televised this weekend) Their team did well and it was all because of Mr. W’s fabulous caddying. 🙂 Seriously, the course and views were spectacular. My son, Wes and I walked along for encouragement.
This looks a bit gross, but it was unreal delicious – Banana Brioche French Toast. I didn’t even NEED syrup. Best I can describe, it was like a combination of french toast, banana pudding, and bananas foster. I think I could have possibly eaten my way through the Greenbrier and White Sulfur Springs, WV.
Wes joined us on Monday morning after a mountain biking race in Snowshoe.
He covered about six miles in 5:36. A great time and no injuries – always a good thing.
As usual, it was hard to say goodbye to him on Tuesday. 🙁
Jes hung back in Roanoke to spend a long weekend with her buds. Pictured here are Jessie and her friend, Mary Wynne (who reads my blog! Hi Mary! Love you.)
We picked up Sophie in NC after her doggie “spa” weekend with her second family – the ones who live on a lake. She fished and played and has not lifted her head from the floor since returning. I can’t decide if she’s in mourning or exhausted or a little of both.
Each time we travel, no matter how much fun, we always realize upon returning that it’s true what they say, “There’s no place like home.”
P.S. I’ll be hosting another giveaway beginning next week. So stay tuned.
Until next time,
