diy: easy, creative summer scarf

IMG_4877c

Remember this tutorial?  I showed you how to make a simple, no-sew ombre scarf.
Today’s tutorial can be a continuation OR a brand new tutorial.  Still easy.  Stil no-sew.
It’s a fun, quick outdoor summer project.
Here’s what you’ll need:

one length of knit fabric, approximately 24″ wide
bleach pen or bleach & Q-tips
waxed paper
newspaper

Layer the newspaper and waxed paper underneath your knit to protect the table surface.

Working fairly quickly, draw your design.
I drew simple flowers, swirls, and dots on each end of the scarf.

Allow it to sit and do it’s work for a few minutes until you reach the desired effect.

Rinse under cold running water until the bleach is washed away.
Wash and dry in a normal cycle.
That’s it!
