I’ve had this white crochet skirt for years and actually had it in the Goodwill pile, but something kept holding me back. This weekend, inspiration struck.

What do you have to do? Pull it northward and belt (or don’t).

The skirt lining was the ideal length and the ties were already beaded!
I did absolutely nothing.

  1. Oh, I love that! But, sadly, I don't have a skirt that looks that good to form into a diy dress. Or a belt that wide and cute. The only thing I have out of that outfit is the jean jacket. 🙁

  2. I think a potato sack would look good on her but what a great diy tutorial 🙂
I am with Patty 😛 Up, up and away would be nice.

  3. lol. Glass is half full!! How many elastic waste skirts can you find at Goodwill? Hundreds. I guarantee that if you tried it, it would work. Guarantee! But I'm laughing over your comments. 🙂

  4. Oh, I can so totally relate to some of your comments! Beautiful dress on a gorgeous model And a great idea, But unfortunately one I won't, myself, be trying soon… Might look good on my daughters though..

  5. That is so great…..I will be eyeing the skirts differently on my next goodwill trip! ….and my daughter has a great long skirt….will show her this….if she gets up….before noon.

  7. I love this! I have a white linen skirt that is too long to wear anymore and I might just have to do this!

  8. AHH! You're right Jennifer. But I have to say that I think I beat out ole Martha. Mine is easier. Great site too. Thanks for sharing…now I'm going to peruse.
