meditative birds

meditation bird by studio waterstone

I love birds. (except for the cardinal who banged against our windows for an entire spring and summer one year – another story for another day)

Honestly, I don’t know a lot about birds. But I love them.

You know how sometimes you simply cannot focus no matter how hard you try? I’ve been that way for the past couple of days. No matter what…ugh.

Meditation. That’s what I need. Meditative painting of imaginary, sweet birds.

  1. well I love birds too and your painted variety are no exception; this is BEAUTIFUL Lori; great meditation it has to be working on a project such as this

  2. Yes, I too love that bird. I would even frame it and hang on my studio wall just to gaze at. At my desk I have a window that looks out into the yard at my bird feeder, so I get tons of local birds, even crows…they are really funny to watch, and woodpeckers, cardinals, blue jays, warblers, tuffed titmouse, and so on. I love watching them!!!! Oh yeah, and doves, but they are more on the ground so they get to fight with the squirrels… But I digress, love the bird!
